SITUATION OF THE DEMOCRATIC REPUBLIC OF CONGO

The Democratic Republic of Congo is a Central African country with a surface area of 2.345 million kmĀ² and a population of around 109 million.
The eastern part of the Democratic Republic of Congo has been the scene of wars and massacres since 1996. Estimates range from 3 to 10 million deaths, making this the deadliest conflict since the Second World War. Children are forcibly recruited into armed groups and women are sexually raped every day. Our activities are based in Goma and Bukavu.
